Currently his manuscript encompasses over 200 biographies of MDs, surgeons, dentists, nurses, etc. of Luxembourg stock. If you are in a medical profession or if you have relatives who were/are in health care professions in the USA, would like to submit a biography, or review biographies that he has already compiled, please contact Fausto at VailCorp@aol.com. I am looking for more information on a defunct Luxembourg organization that was based in Shakopee, Scott County, Minnesota. The name of the organization was the Luxemburger Unterstentzungs Verein [Luxembourger Mutual Aid Society]. This organization was founded in 1897 and was a death and sick benefit fraternal organization. The group sponsored the annual Luxembourg Ball and a picnic in the Shakopee/Chanhassen area each year. If you have any information, photographs, or memoribilia from this Verein, I would enjoy hearing from you. The Scott County Historical Society based in Shakopee is also interested in learning more about this group. Thanks! I am trying to locate the immigration record of John Nicolay, who immigrated to the USA in the 1850s (possibly 1856-57). He was born 9/29/1833 in Girst/Givit, Luxembourg and died 5/11/1916 in New Prague, Minnesota. His brother Wilhelm Nicolay came to the USA possibly in 1854. Wilhelm was a volunteer in the Third Seminole War for which he received a Patent Deed for 160A near New Prague. Both John and Wilhelm ended up in Minnesota but very likely lived somewhere else before settling in Minnesota. If you have any additional information contact:
