Green Heart Gala Dinner Auction Was A Hit!

The Luxembourg American Cultural Society’s largest, annual fundraiser – the Green Heart Gala Dinner Auction – was held on August 11 in conjunction with the other events of Luxembourg Heritage Weekend in Wisconsin. This year’s Gala was “new and improved” and definitely was a huge hit! The Gala was attend by 320 people from throughout the US, Luxembourg, and even England! Everyone enjoyed a relaxing evening of fun, food, and fellowship!
The Green Heart Gala Dinner Auction netted a profit of $41,000! This was a $26,000 increase from the 2006 Gala and it even exceeded the goal that we had set for this year’s event!
The success of the 2007 Gala would not have been possible without the assistance and support of everyone involved! Thus, I would like to take this opportunity to thank those who made this year’s Gala a resounding success:

A major boost to this year’s Green Heart Gala was the number of people who donated
auction items. We thank our members from throughout the US who used our online Gift Registry and Wish List! We especially thank a number of talented members of our Luxembourg American community who donated their one-of-kind artwork and signed copies of their books. We also appreciated people who donated items from the Grand Duchy! These items were especially “hot” because they are impossible to find elsewhere in the US!
