Mission

The Mission of the LACS is symbolized as “Roots & Leaves”.

Roots - To preserve Luxembourg heritage/culture in the United States

Leaves - To foster ongoing relationships of family, friendship, culture, education, tourism and commerce between Luxembourg and the United States.

Activities

• Sponsorship of the Luxembourg American Cultural Center – including Roots & Leaves Museum and LACS Research Center

• Sponsorship of annual Luxembourg Heritage Weekend each August including Luxembourg American Cultural Conference

• Publish Luxembourg American Gazette newsletter and LACS E-Newsletter

• Collaboration with American and Luxembourg Ambassadors and Luxembourg Consuls in the U.S.

• Provide educational/cultural opportunities for all ages

• Preservation of treasured family heirlooms and artifacts

• Preservation of archival and genealogical materials

• Promotion of Luxembourg culture and traditions

• Promotion of Luxembourg and Luxembourg American visual and performing arts

• Promotion of commerce and trade between Luxembourg and the U.S.

• Promotion of tourism between Luxembourg and the U.S.

• Foster ongoing relationships between the people of Luxembourg and the U.S.

• Serve as a resource for all Luxembourg societies throughout America
